The Community

The Association is our “town hall.” The friendly, professional staff administers all community maintenance, security and business affairs. It maintains common properties - parks, playgrounds, open spaces, roadways, bike and hiking trails and the lake property; collects assessments and pays expenses. It oversees and enforces the covenants and provides all other administrative functions. The Association building also provides meeting rooms and resources for volunteer governing organizations. While the Association administrators manage daily operations, the volunteer Board of Directors, elected by the residents, plans the future, manages the budget and deals with non-routine matters. They meet at least monthly and serve three year terms.

The River Hills / Lake Wylie EMS proudly provides ALS coverage 24/7 to the Lake Wylie / Bethel areas of of York, South Carolina. The squad Headquarters and Training Center building is off HWY 49 at the entrance of River Hills Plantation. Transport is available to the six major medical centers within a 20 mile radius.

RHCA Security

Security, safety and peace of mind are significant priorities for the residents of the River Hills Plantation. A dedicated security team of South Carolina licensed and armed officers addresses those priorities 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. With controlled community access at two separate entry points, manned by those officers, and round the clock roving vehicle patrols, River Hills residents can know that they and their property are well protected.

GATE ACCESS

River Hills Plantation uses Gate Access, a state of the art internet based visitor management and security system, to support our security force in determining who is authorized to enter River Hills property.

Community Church at Lake Wylie

We are an interdenominational Christian church located just outside the back gate of River Hills. You’ll find us friendly and welcoming! We look forward to meeting you soon!

Volunteerism

Many River Hills' residents give significant time and donations to local area charities and Service clubs. Some, like the large Lions Club and Sweet Repeat Charitable Foundation are based within River Hills, and some work from the River Hills Community Church just outside the west gate. Many of these charities have their own facilities and governing boards, but they are often largely staffed by River Hills volunteers (and more are always welcome).
